Around 90% of SIRCLO employees would recommend the company to people they know as a good place to work, driven by high levels of personal satisfaction, career recognition, and attractive incentives.

TANGERANG, 26 February 2019 – According to an internal survey conducted by members of Young Leaders for Indonesia as part of its “Breakthrough Leadership” project, 90% of SIRCLO employee respondents said they would recommend the company to people they know as a good place to work. The positive responses were driven by three main factors: personal satisfaction, recognition for career development, and attractive incentives. Conducted in November 2018, the survey involved 89 of SIRCLO’s 164 employees in Jakarta.

SIRCLO, an e-commerce solutions provider, currently employs 206 people, more than 80% of whom are aged between 21 and 30, placing them within the millennial generation. “As a technology startup, SIRCLO has experienced rapid business growth since it was founded. Joining SIRCLO offers an exciting opportunity for young professionals who want to gain deeper exposure to the startup ecosystem and technology services industry,” said Brian Marshal, Founder and CEO of SIRCLO.

Adila Ganiyha Fitri, Recruitment & Employer Branding Lead at SIRCLO, said the company is committed to creating a genuine sense of work-life balance. “We trust our employees to make use of remote working when needed. If they need to be at home and can still work effectively from there, we are happy to support that. At the same time, we believe face-to-face interaction with colleagues remains equally important, as the sense of togetherness we value cannot be built through online communication alone.”

This is consistent with findings published by FlexJobs in August 2018. Based on a survey of more than 3,000 respondents, 78% of millennial employees said they would be more loyal to a company if they were given greater flexibility in when and how they work¹. Similarly, the 2016 Deloitte Millennial Survey found that 95% of millennial respondents considered work-life balance a key factor when choosing a job².

Beyond offering flexible working arrangements, SIRCLO also fosters a collaborative culture that places strong emphasis on knowledge sharing. The team regularly holds town hall meetings, bringing together employees across all levels, from managers to junior staff, to hear directly from the CEO about the company’s latest developments. “We also regularly organise learning and training sessions on a range of topics, led either by internal teams, such as Technology or Marketing, or by external speakers who share their expertise and experience,” said Adila.

In fact, millennials view training and workshops as valuable learning opportunities that can support their career development. A survey conducted by Impraise, a corporate performance management consultancy, found that 63% of millennials look for jobs that offer training, workshops, and opportunities to pursue postgraduate education³. “Having the opportunity to explore topics I am interested in, while also learning things that were not covered in formal education, has been a major benefit of working at SIRCLO. This is important to me because, after more than a year with the company, I do not want to become stuck in routine or remain within my comfort zone. I want to keep learning and developing myself so I can make a greater contribution,” said Mikael Kristyawicaksono, Product Manager at SIRCLO.

Unlike many companies, SIRCLO welcomes applicants whose academic backgrounds may differ from the roles they are applying for. Candidates are assessed based on their professional experience, track record, and individual character.

With an efficient organisational structure in place, SIRCLO said its recruitment process typically takes around one to two weeks. “Once an application is received, we begin with an initial screening. Candidates who pass this stage will then complete a technical assessment and an interview with the Human Resources team. The final step is an interview with the relevant division manager. Successful candidates can then join the SIRCLO team,” Adila explained.

As a rapidly growing startup, SIRCLO continues to recruit across a range of functions as its business lines expand. Opportunities are available in areas including technology, finance, customer service, and warehouse management. All current SIRCLO vacancies can be found at www.sirclo.com/careers, as well as on platforms such as TechinAsia, LinkedIn, Indeed, and Jooble.

“We want to grow alongside the energy and ambition of Indonesia’s younger generation. If you are passionate, enjoy taking on challenges, have a broad perspective, and can adapt easily to a startup environment and culture, you could be a great fit for SIRCLO,” said Adila.
